I just wanted to let you all know that SHOP RVA has recently been featured in the December 3, 2007 issue of the Commonwealth Times. In an article entitled, Student-led Campaign Supporting Richmond Businesses, Aims to Halt Corporate Take-overs, I did a short interview with my friend, Christen Duxbury, talking about the campaign and why it is important for such a thing to exist in the area! Hey Richmond,
I’m happy to announce, that after a semester of hard work, the new version of the SHOP RVA website is finally live! Check back often for more updates as there is much more to come in the near future! This is just the first step paving the pathway to the future for SHOP RVA. Accompanying, our relaunch we have produced new screen printed posters (thanks Alex!) , new stickers, and are working to gain more press coverage!
In the near future, we are also working with our good buddy and local Richmonder, Tony Harris, of RVA Magazine for a partnership. He has shown interest in our campaign so we will be happy to work with him to help spread our word!
We are also looking for any volunteers! Anyone who is determined, willing to help, and interested in donating some of their time to do something positive, please feel free to hit us up! We could always use a helping hand!
Anyway, to cut this short, there’s so much more to come! Please check back and show your support!
